JoinToGrow1 - Summary Writeup

I would like to first thank Dr. Siva for trusting ChessForThePeople to organize his JoinToGrow chess club events. He has been very responsive and helpful and can’t find a much nicer person. I also want to thank my son Jacob, for not only doing his hired responsibility to be floor TD but doing all backroom WinTD process. Libertyville Sports Complex has been a remarkable partner in this entire project and bring their expertise, astonishing facility and wonderful location to what will be a nice tournament facility in Northwest Suburbs. Obviously, you can’t have a chess tournament without players. So, a big thanks to all kids and their parents making environment fun!! One more thanks are for parents that were willing to be a house player to ensure all kids were able to play all four games.

We had three sections. Primary (K-2), Elementary (3-5) and Middle School (6-8). There were players from 12 different cities. Antioch, Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Elgin, Lake Bluff, Lake Villa, Mount Prospect, Mundelein, Prospect Heights, Schaumburg, Spring Grove and Waukegan.
